Trash is collected on Thursdays.  During weeks where there is a federal holiday, trash is collected Friday.

Please leave reasonable pieces of trash in manageable quantities, follow Borough guidelines, and be respectful of weight limits of trash cans. Only 3 bulk items will be collected per week on trash day, per location.

Contractors Must Remove All Debris

EMPTY. CLEAN. DRY. THE NEW WAY TO RECYCLE

Sometimes it may be difficult to determine what can and cannot be recycled.   Trying to recycle unclean or non-recyclable material increases the cost to the municipality, and requires entire loads of recyclables to be placed in our landfills. Please make sure that your recyclables are empty, clean, and dry before placing them in your recycling container.

The links below provides additional information on products that can and cannot be recycled. When in doubt, throw it out!

The Borough utilizes single stream recycling. All cardboard, cans, glass, plastic and paper may be placed in the same container. Recyclables are collected every other week, based on your zone. Tires and oil can be brought to the end of Oak Lane (shown below) during work hours of 7 – 3:30, left outside the fence after work hours, or picked up by scheduling.  The Borough Public Works department will collect other materials such as concrete, bricks, and stumps in reasonable quantities. Public Works will not collect waste left by contractors.
For electronics (anything with a cord or battery) we ask you to call to schedule a Wednesday pick up (do not place the items at the curb) one week in advance.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Borough garage (856) 784-0495.
