No fees are collected by the Borough of Clementon.

TAX ASSESSOR (PT) – CLEMENTON BOROUGH, CAMDEN COUNTY

Clementon Borough is seeking a part-time Tax Assessor, to begin January 1, 2022.

Candidate must be well versed in all aspects of local assessing practices and take the lead in defense of appeals. A valid Certified Tax Assessor (CTA) license and minimum of three years’ experience is required. Experience using Microsystems is preferred.

CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TRAINEE (PT)– Under direction of the Construction Official, examines properties for their compliance with state, county, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. Conducts field work to ensure compliance of code regulations. Consults with owners, and contractors on compliance of properties and projects and violations. Successful candidate will conduct on-site inspections, investigate reports of potential violations, initiate necessary legal action, prepare required reports, establish and maintain records and files and testify in court when necessary. Requirements include a valid New Jersey Driver’s License, computer proficiency, strong communication skills. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. NJ Construction Official License issued by Department of Community Affairs strongly preferred. Must possess a valid driver license in New Jersey. Must have knowledge of municipal rules, regulations, policies, procedures and ordinances. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, reviewing all zoning permit applications, conducting field inspections and special investigations to ensure compliance with various municipal ordinances. Must self- initiate and enforce rules and regulations in relation to various municipal ordinances and maintain records, files and reports. Monthly attendance at the Joint Land Use Board Meeting is required. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
