There are fees associated with paying your bill online. If you pay by ACH or e-check, there is a $1.95 convenience fee. The fee for all debit and credit card payments will be 2.95% of your total bill.

No fees are collected by the Borough of Clementon.

NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAY

DEA will hold our National Prescription Drug Take Back (NTBI 21) on Saturday, October 23, 2021 – 10AM to 2PM. The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
Clementon Borough Police Department will be participating in this program and residents will have the opportunity to dispose of  unwanted prescription medications. Staff will be on site at the Clementon Police Department, located at 101 Gibbsboro Road, for this event.

WEST NILE VIRUS

A Clementon resident has tested positive for West Nile Virus.
“West Nile Virus typically affects a small number of New Jersey residents each year, however the prevalence of the virus has been increasing recently,” said Commissioner Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the health department. “The Camden County Department of Health is continuing to work with the Mosquito Commission to ensure that additional spraying and testing will be conducted in the area.”
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), West Nile virus (WNV) is the leading cause of mosquito-borne disease in the continental United States. It is most commonly spread to people by the bite of an infected mosquito. Cases of WNV occur during mosquito season, which starts in the summer and continues through fall. There are no vaccines to prevent or medications to treat WNV in people. Fortunately, most people infected with WNV do not feel sick. About 1 in 5 people who are infected develop a fever and other symptoms. About 1 out of 150 infected people develop a serious, sometimes fatal, illness. You can reduce your risk of WNV by using insect repellent and wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants to prevent mosquito bites

BALLOT DROP BOXES GENERAL ELECTION

Camden County has installed Secure Ballot Drop Boxes in all municipalities, in which your mail in ballots may be returned for the 2021 General Election.

Vote-by-Mail Ballots may also be hand delivered to the Board of Elections’ office with proper ID at 100 University Court, Blackwood, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

TAX ASSESSOR (PT) – CLEMENTON BOROUGH, CAMDEN COUNTY

Clementon Borough is seeking a part-time Tax Assessor, to begin January 1, 2022.

Candidate must be well versed in all aspects of local assessing practices and take the lead in defense of appeals. A valid Certified Tax Assessor (CTA) license and minimum of three years’ experience is required. Experience using Microsystems is preferred.

CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TRAINEE (PT)– Under direction of the Construction Official, examines properties for their compliance with state, county, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. Conducts field work to ensure compliance of code regulations. Consults with owners, and contractors on compliance of properties and projects and violations. Successful candidate will conduct on-site inspections, investigate reports of potential violations, initiate necessary legal action, prepare required reports, establish and maintain records and files and testify in court when necessary. Requirements include a valid New Jersey Driver’s License, computer proficiency, strong communication skills. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/ZONING OFFICER (FT) – Qualified candidate must have at least one-year experience in municipal inspections or investigations related to violations of and compliance with laws, rules and regulations. NJ Construction Official License issued by Department of Community Affairs strongly preferred. Must possess a valid driver license in New Jersey. Must have knowledge of municipal rules, regulations, policies, procedures and ordinances. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, reviewing all zoning permit applications, conducting field inspections and special investigations to ensure compliance with various municipal ordinances. Must self- initiate and enforce rules and regulations in relation to various municipal ordinances and maintain records, files and reports. Monthly attendance at the Joint Land Use Board Meeting is required. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
